A GIGAWATT SAVED IS A GIGAWATT EARNED!
Here are a selection of clients we have helped with lighting and/or solar generation.
LOS ANGELES DEPARTMENT OF WATER AND POWER
The LADWP offers up to $2,500 in free efficient lighting upgrades through their Small Business Direct Install (SBDI) Program. Small businesses on rate schedule A1 are eligible to participate in the SBDI program and receive energy saving lighting system upgrades for equipment, such as fluorescent lighting and energy efficient exit signs.
Under this program, PLEMCo has serviced over 4000 (and counting) small businesses in the City of Los Angeles.
Our SBDI Program Representative will conduct an on-site lighting assessment to identify energy saving opportunities. Once the business has agreed to the energy plan, licensed professionals will retrofit the building with new, energy efficient lighting. The old equipment will be removed and recycled in an environmentally friendly manner.
If the business chooses to install lighting improvements beyond the SBDI Program limit, PLEMCo will honor the same low rate per fixture and the business may also qualify for additional rebates from LADWP.
THE CALIFORNIA PRESCHOOL ENERGY EFFICIENCY PROGRAM
A remarkable opportunity for preschools in California to upgrade their facilities and save money on energy bills.
This $4.2 million program replaced older, energy-intensive equipment at eligible child care centers with energy–efficient upgrades that help reduce operating costs.
Any state-contracted, Head Start, or private preschool operating in the utility service area of Southern California Edison, Pacific Gas and Electric, or San Diego Gas & Electric Company is eligible. For information call: 415-489-6122.
THE FOX PLAZA
Considered the most important building erected in Century City, the Fox Plaza is an imposing force in the area's mini-skyline. Located on 20th Century Fox property, the 34-story building has over 900,000 square feet of office space. Former U.S. President Ronald Reagan occupied a penthouse on the 34th floor and the building served as centerstage in the 1988 movie "Die Hard." PLEMCo retrofitted the lighting resulting in saving of nearly 550 kiloWatts and $410,000+ annually in electricity alone. Additional A/C savings were realized with less heat being generated from the upgraded lighting.
La JOLLA GATEWAY
La Jolla Gateway is an award-winning office complex located at the entrance to the beautiful town of LaJolla, north of San Diego. These high-rise sculptured office buildings total nearly 352,000 square feet. PLEMCo retrofitted the lighting which resulted in savings of 181+ kiloWatts and over $180,000 annually. Since the cooling load was also reduced, the complex saw additional savings as well.
